finger painting fun!

Hailey's not feeling so well today...go figure, we have another cold!! :(

So, we've been trying to come up with some quiet, fun things for our little girl to do to keep herself occupied!! My Mom gave us a recipe for edible, homemade fingerpaint and we thought we'd get that out and play with it this afternoon! (and, yes, I did say afternoon, even though she's still wearing her jammies...I wasn't gonna fight her to get her "princess" clothes off) :)

good thing that cold or no cold Hailey still has her big beautiful smile! (most of the time, anyways) ;)

This is what she looked like after the deep scrub down she had to get in the bathtub...not so smiley and a little crankier! :(

If you want the recipe for finger paint...(if you dare...I'm thinking of making it bathtub paint, next time and letting her paint the bathtub before we hose her and the tub off) :)

2 cups cold water

2 cups flour

whisk together and then divide and add food coloring

just an fyi- if you do end up making this fingerpaint get it off the wall before it dries, because when it's dry it takes a lot of elbow grease to get your wall clean! (not that I would know from personal experience or anything like that)
